The river has settled down and cleared up dramatically from last weekends highish water. The drop in river level has made schoolie stripers accessible throughout the cove with encouraging reports coming in since Sunday. With the reasonable forecasted air temperatures for the next week we should have stripers around in good numbers for at least a week. Shad fishing has slowed down with the lack of flow. Some hickory shad can still be found upstream in the faster water while any American shad being reported are being caught in the cove on the main seam. Some eater size white perch have been reported in the last few days as well.
