A couple colds nights slowed down the shad bite dramatically but as the sunshine this afternoon warms up the water the bite will pick right back up. Just reports of hickory shad the last couple days in relatively small numbers - as the temperature increases we will see increased numbers of hickories plus more American shad activity. Perch and striped bass fishing still slow. Catfish fishing improving as temperature rises. Peak shad fishing will be starting this week.
